Mr. Taft is not the only new position at BCCC.  There is a new Assistant Director as well. Caleb Burk, has been on staff at the camp since 2005, and is now being promoted. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas and has been an active member in the community for his entire life and has a deep love for the Camp at Lake Bridgeport. Caleb works directly with each group leader or guest as they plan specific events relating to lodging, food service, and programs. Caleb lives on site in order to assist guests with 24 hour needs. He also is experienced in the food industry and has earned his Food Service Manger Certificate.

“I want to give a big thank you to Trueman Hoffmeister, who is the outgoing ED, and Caleb for doing so many wonderful things already at the camp,” states Taft.  “I certainly have some big shoes to fill, but I am eager to step into the role, and to continue to make this camp a great and wonderful place for everyone in and around our conference!”

Learn more about The United Methodist Church.  Through legislation, elections, study, worship and fellowship we learn more about how The United Methodist Church functions in living out the gospel of Jesus Christ in the world.

 Leadership Training.  We learn more through the experience of elections and legislation how to lead our congregations as the Christian leaders of today.

Legislative process.  Issues may be presented, debated and voted upon according to the operating procedures of the Youth Annual Conference (YAC). YAC Legislative Worksheet

Elections.  Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM) will have eight at-large representatives that are elected from among the body of the YAC. Candidates must be in the 8th grade but not yet in the 12th grade. The term of office for these representatives shall be until they graduate. CCYM Self Nomination Include a Recent Photo with your Application.

Choose Youth Service Fund (YSF) Projects.  The selection of Youth Service Fund (YSF) projects for the succeeding year is determined by an open nomination and election process of the YAC delegations. YSF Recommendation Form

  All registration and money for MidWinter 1 is due by January 18, 2012.
  NO Registration after January 18 or at the door for MidWinter 1.
  ALL Adults must register and pay as well.
